This Privacy Policy explains how Next Event Technologies ("we") collects, uses, and protects your data while you use NexPOS.

1. Information we collect

Account information — name, email, phone, shop/company name, password (hashed)
Billing information — subscription plan, invoice history, payment status — card/mobile banking details are handled by our payment gateway partner (SSLCommerz); we do not store them
Service data — data you enter, such as sales, products, and customer information — this remains yours; we only process it to provide the service
Usage information — login activity, device/browser information, IP address — for security and support purposes

2. How we use your information

To provide, maintain, and improve the service
To process subscription payments and send billing notices
To provide customer support and answer questions
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues
To meet legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share customer data for their own marketing purposes.

3. Payment processing

Payments are processed by SSLCommerz, our licensed payment gateway partner in Bangladesh. When you pay through the gateway, the information you provide (card, mobile banking, etc.) is governed by SSLCommerz's own privacy and security policies. We only receive whether the payment succeeded or failed and a transaction reference — not your full card or account details.

4. Data sharing

We only share data with: service providers who help us operate (hosting, payment processing, SMS/email) under confidentiality agreements; law enforcement or regulatory bodies where legally required; or with your consent.

5. Data retention

We retain data while your account is active, and afterward for a reasonable period as needed for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Except for data we are legally required to retain, you may request to view, correct, or delete your personal information via the contact details below.

7. Security

We use standard measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls). No method is 100% secure, but we work to maintain the highest standards.

8. Children's privacy

NexPOS is built for business use and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above indicates the most recent revision.
